ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

IIUM was established on 23 May 1983 and founded upon Islamic principles where Islamic values are inculcated into all disciplines. The university is sponsored by eight governments and the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and considered as one of the top five Islamic universities of the world.

Bachelor of Business Management (BBM)

The Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) programme is offered in partnership between IIUM Academy and IIUM Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS).

The BBM offers a comprehensive education designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge in business management. Integrating Islamic values with modern business practices, the programme emphasizes ethical leadership, innovation, and social responsibility.

Programme Info

  • PROGRAMME LOCATION
    IIUM, Gombak Campus
    On-campus hostels are available for full-time students

     

  • DURATION
    Total duration of studies is approximately 4 years.
    Each academic year consists of 2 standard semesters and 1 short semester.

     

  • CLASS SCHEDULE:

    • Full Time - classes during weekdays

    • Part Time - classes on alternate weekends/ evening classes.

  • ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

    Entry Requirements for Malaysian Applicants
     

  • Passed SPM with five (5) credits including Mathematics and English and five (5) years of related working experience; OR
     

  • Passed STPM with at least three (3) principal passes obtained in one seating and two (2) years of related working experience; OR
     

  • Obtained Diploma / Matriculation Certificates from institutions recognized by IIUM; OR
     

  • APEL Admission
    Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements may sit for APEL (T-6) Assessment by MQA.

    Entry Requirements for International Applicants

  • At least three principal passes in the General Certificate of Education “Advanced Level” (CGE) “A” Level Examination (UK Education System) obtained in one sitting or International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of six (6) subjects obtained in one sitting; and

    • A minimum C in Mathematics and

    • A minimum C in two other subjects OR
       

  • A Foundation’s CGPA of 3.00 and above or its equivalent; OR
     

  • Any other qualifications that are recognised by the Senate of the University as equivalent to the above.

  • ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:

    • An English proficiency score of Band 5.5 on IIUM’s English Placement Test (EPT); OR

    • A MUET proficiency score of Band 3; OR

    • An IELTS proficiency score of Band 5.5.


Note: Applicants without MUET or IELTS will be scheduled to take EPT before the beginning of the 1st semester.
