IIUM Foundation Programme

"The foundation programmes at IIUM are specially designed to provide students with the required knowledge and necessary skills to prepare them for entry into the degree programmes offered by the various Kulliyyah's (faculties) at IIUM."

Malaysian Applicant with IGCSE/ GCSE Qualification

Malaysian students with IGCSE/ GCSE qualifications (previously known as GCE O-Level) or its equivalent who are not eligible to apply to Malaysia's public universities through UPU may apply for the Foundation programmes through this Direct Channel.

Malaysian Applicant with SPM Qualification

Malaysian students with SPM qualifications may apply for the Foundation programme through this Direct Channel without having to go through the stiff competition as in UPU.

International Applicant with IGCSE/ GCSE Qualification

The Foundation programmes are open to students who have successfully obtained the IGCSE/ GCSE qualifications from any part of the world.

Why IIUM? 

IIUM Foundation

IIUM was established on 23 May 1983 and founded upon Islamic principles where Islamic values are inculcated into all disciplines. The university is sponsored by eight governments and the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and considered as one of the top five Islamic universities of the world. 

 

IIUM has been recognized as “The Premier International Islamic Research University” by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and is one of the best public universities in Malaysia with a specific mission of Integration, Islamization, Internationalization and Comprehensive Excellence.

 

IIUM offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees courses at its 14 faculties or "Kulliyyah". ROUTE TO BACHELOR'S DEGREE AT IIUM

The IIUM Foundation programme serves as a pathway for students to gain entry into undergraduate programmes offered at the International Islamic University Malaysia. Upon successful completion of the Foundation programme, students can directly progress into their chosen degree programmes at IIUM (with subsidized fees accept for Law Degree).

For applicants who do not meet the entry requirements of the preferred programme, we will recommend other programmes that match your qualifications. Applicants must complete the Pre-Assessment Form with correct information and upload the relevant examination results.
