Our Commitment, With You in Mind...
Regardless of the specific outcomes, the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/O-Level results often mark a significant milestone in a student's academic journey. Students and parents will typically start considering various options for further education, such as applying for university or college programmes, exploring vocational or technical training, or considering other educational pathways that align with the student's interests and goals. This phase may involve research, consultations, and decision-making discussions.
The choice of university and the field of study certainly depends on a number of factors, particularly the student's performance and achievement at SPM/O-Level or equivalent, students' interests and inclinations, financial ability, choice of location and university reputation.
Based on a report from the IPT Student Enrollment Management Division (BPKP IPT) or better known as UPU, the limited capacity of Public Universities to accommodate students and stiff competition resulted in thousands of qualified applicants not getting a place in public universities. In 2022 alone, UPU received more than 115 thousand applications with more than 90 thousand applicants passing the general requirements. However, placement in public universities is only able to admit 71 thousand qualified students.
Due to this, many institutions of higher education in the country and abroad are collaborating with student recruitment service providers to optimize the student recruitment process where applicants will have broader opportunity and options to enter university locally or abroad and additionally into local public universities through their "Alternative Channel".
Through this smart collaboration, the participating universities and the students themselves benefit from the services provided through the provision of a local platform with a variety of program and university options in addition to educational consulting services and guidance on the choice of study areas for students and parents.
UniAssist will definitely be able to help parents and students through our services provided at no cost.
