UTM Foundation Programme
"Fastest route to a bachelor's degree"
The UTM Foundation Programme offers students an alternative choice of pre-university education, other than matriculation, the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM), and other foundation programmes recognised by the Malaysian government.
It provides students with the basic knowledge in Engineering, Science and Social Science that will prepare them for their next education pathway in UTM, through the UTM International Degree Programme (UTM-IDP). The programme is conducted in full time mode over the course of one year.

Why UTM?
Since its establishment as a technical school in 1904 and finally a full-fledged university in 1972, UTM has played a pivotal role over the years as the nation’s largest contributor of technical and professional workforce for the local industry, government agencies as well as multinational companies. It is located both in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, known as the UTM Kuala Lumpur Campus, and in Johor Bahru, which is its main campus, situated in a strategic location in the Iskandar Malaysia region, a vibrant economic corridor in the south of Peninsular Malaysia.

ROUTE TO BACHELOR'S DEGREE AT UTM
Upon successful completion of the UTM Foundation programme, student may gain entry into undergraduate programmes offered at UTM without going through UPU.
