The Admission to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Through Direct Channel
The Direct Channel (Saluran Terus) refers to a special pathway for local and international students to gain admission to Malaysia's Public Universities without having to go through the traditional centralized application process administered by the Malaysian Higher Education Ministry's admission system or better known as UPU.
Direct Intake offered by Public Universities aim to provide other alternative, especially to local students who do not get the programme of their choice due to intense competition at UPU. However, the places allocated for the Direct Intake are very limited subject to those who make an early application.
Through strategic collaboration with Malaysia's Public University, namely Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Uni Assist becomes the preferred one-stop centre that opens Direct Access to various full-time academic programmes for post-secondary school leavers to pursue their dream programme.

Malaysian applicants do not have to compete for the programme and university of their choice as occur at UPUOnline.

Unlike the application at UPUOnline, the application through the Direct Channel does not require applicant's merit point as a prerequisite for admission.
